Moss-Rose Cottage has been serving the people of Rumney in Cardiff for 150 years. It began by supplying corn, then it became the local post office. Now it is to open its doors to the people of Rumney and the surrounding areas again, this time as:

Moss-Rose Cottage

‘Moss-Rose Cottage C.I.C’ will offer people of working age with ‘invisible barriers’ the opportunity to make connections with others, try new things and support existing local community groups.
 
It will also offer the opportunity for all to discover ways in which we can improve our personal wellbeing and develop healthy self care practices.

Our goal for Moss-Rose Cottage:

Moss-Rose Cottage, will provide an environment in which people of working age with ‘invisible’ barriers such as brain injuries, low level mental health issues and other chronic conditions can;

Access resourses, support and strategies to improve their self esteem and improve their chances of employment, whilst in a setting that will improve the shared wellbeing of the wider community, by creating mutually beneficial connections and relationships.

 

 

 

What is a Community Interest Company (CIC)?

  • A community interest company ( CIC) is a type of company introduced by the United Kingdom government in 2005 under the Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Act 2004, designed for social enterprises that want to use their profits and assets for the public good. Activities:
